Azerbaijan and World Bank Explore New Avenues for Cooperation

Baku: A meeting between Azerbaijan's Ministry of Finance and the World Bank took place on June 11, focusing on the future of their collaborative efforts. The session was attended by Anar Karimov, the First Deputy Minister of Finance, along with Stefanie Stahlmeister, the World Bank's Country Manager for Azerbaijan, and Adrian Fozzard, the Head of the Public Administration and Institutional Development Program for the Europe and Central Asia region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the dialogue highlighted the mutual satisfaction with the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank. Both parties acknowledged the benefits Azerbaijan has reaped from this relationship over the years. It was emphasized that the projects funded by the World Bank, along with the technical assistance rendered, have played a pivotal role in advancing Azerbaijan's socio-economic landscape.

The discussions also delved into the ongoing reforms in public finance management, which are being supported by the World Bank. Both sides expressed interest in furthering these efforts and exploring new possibilities for collaboration in the future.
