Azerbaijan Army Conducts Military Oath-Taking Ceremonies for Young Soldiers

Baku: In accordance with the training plan for 2025 approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Azerbaijan Army held military oath-taking ceremonies for young soldiers on February 16. The ceremonies were inaugurated following the arrival of battle flags to the parade grounds, accompanied by military orchestras.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the events began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids who sacrificed their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. Following this tribute, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

The young soldiers took a solemn military oath, pledging loyalty to the Motherland. Representatives from the Defense Ministry, along with military unit commanders, extended their congratulations to the soldiers on this significant occasion. They emphasized the importance of remaining loyal to the Motherland, the state, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Furthermore, the soldiers were encouraged to serve with dedication, master the secrets of weapons and equipment, enhance their combat training, and fulfill the orders of the command staff promptly and accurately. The importance of being prepared to defend Azerbaijan's territories was also highlighted.

The ceremonies concluded with a solemn march by the servicemen in front of the grandstand.
