Azerbaijan Deploys Helicopter for Fishermen Missing in Caspian Sea

Lankaran: Authorities in Azerbaijan have intensified their search efforts for two missing fishermen in the Caspian Sea near Siyavar village, Lankaran city. The fishermen, identified as Mahmud Ibayev Abdulali, born in 1984, and Nazim Abbasov Samad, born in 1968, have been missing since January 13.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has deployed a helicopter from its Aviation Unit to aid in the search and rescue operations. The helicopter is working alongside rescuers from the Special Risky Rescue Service to expand the search area and enhance the ongoing efforts.

The search operations are currently being conducted in both the Lankaran and Astara directions of the Caspian Sea. The helicopter began its search at approximately 16:20. Further updates on the situation are awaited as the search continues.
