Baku: Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields until January 1, 2025, a total of 650.2 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 466.5 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, as reported by the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan to APA-Economics. The ACG fields contributed 601.5 million tons of oil and 229.7 billion cubic meters of gas, while the Shah Deniz fields produced approximately 48.7 million tons of condensate and 236.8 billion cubic meters of gas.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, as of January 1, 2025, a total of 648.3 million tons of oil and 169.5 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported from these fields. In the previous year, Azerbaijan produced 29.1 million tons of oil (including condensate), with 16.8 million tons from ACG, 4.2 million tons (condensate) from Shah Deniz, and 0.6 million tons (condensate) from the Absheron field. SOCAR, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, contributed 7.5 million tons to the oil production.
In 2024, Azerbaijan's natural gas production reached 50.3 billion cubic meters. This included 13.3 billion cubic meters from ACG, 27.8 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz, 1.5 billion cubic meters from the Absheron field, and 7.7 billion cubic meters from SOCAR. The Ministry noted a 2 billion cubic meter increase in gas production compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
