International cooperation in the fight against crime continues successfully, General Prosecutor's Office told APA. The petitions of the authorities of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg regarding the extradition of Cedric Michelin, a citizen of the French Republic born in 1987, who was internationally wanted for committing economic crimes, and of the authorities of Romania regarding the extradition of Oghuz Atalay, a citizen of the Republic of Trkiye born in 1975, who was internationally wanted for organizing a criminal group and illegally transporting migrants, were submitted to the Baku Court on Grave Crimes by the Prosecutor General's Office for consideration. Mentioned individuals were identified within the country this year, and arrest warrants were issued against them. Based on the European Convention on Extradition and its Additional Protocols, decisions were made regarding the aforementioned individuals, and they were handed over to the authorities of Luxembourg and Romania under the escort of the speci al convoy of the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service.
