Azerbaijan Implements Unified Heating Network Mandate for New Buildings

Baku: Projects of multi-apartment residential buildings constructed after the new law "On Heat Supply" comes into force must provide for the supply of heat energy to all apartments in the building from a single heat source or through a single network covering several buildings, this is reflected in the draft law "On Heat Supply," which was discussed today at the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources, Energy, and Ecology, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, making centralized heating supply systems mandatory will lead to changes in this area. The new regulation is expected to contribute to the conservation of energy resources and the reduction of emissions into the environment. This initiative aims to streamline heating systems across new residential constructions, ensuring a more efficient and environmentally friendly approach to energy consumption.

The law "On Heat Supply" is seen as a strategic move towards sustainable energy management in Azerbaijan. The decision reflects the government's commitment to modernizing infrastructure and optimizing resource use. This legislative change is poised to impact the construction and real estate sectors significantly, mandating that future developments adhere to the unified heating network requirement.

The law's implementation is anticipated to encourage the adoption of innovative heating solutions and technologies that align with global environmental standards, further positioning Azerbaijan as a proactive player in environmental conservation and sustainable development.
