Azerbaijan Increases Disability Benefits for Terrorism-Related Injuries

Baku: Disability benefits have been increased for disabilities caused by general illness, military service, occupational injury, occupational disease, presence in military operation zones, the elimination of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, and terrorism-related reasons, APA reports. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree regarding this matter.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decree stipulates that starting from July 1, 2025, disability benefits for those whose disability is due to the elimination of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident and terrorism-related reasons will be increased. The new benefit amounts will be 300 manats for individuals with 81-100% impairment of bodily functions, 250 manats for those with 61-80% impairment, and 180 manats for those with 31-60% impairment.
