Azerbaijan increases fine for violating requirements for protection of animal and plant species listed in Red Book by more than 10 times

The fine is increased more than 10 times for the violation of the requirements for the protection of animal and plant species included in the Red Book of Azerbaijan or specially protected species, this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Code of Administrative Offenses, which was discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), APA reports. According to the draft, physical persons will be fined from one thousand to one thousand three hundred manat for failing to comply with the protection requirements for the protection of animals and plant species included in the Red Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and on the list of specially protected species, while officials will face fines from three thousand to four thousand manat, and legal entities will be fined from six thousand to eight thousand manat.
