Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan negotiate cargo transportation from China

BISHKEK: Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan have discussed cargo transportation along the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Caspian Sea-Azerbaijan route, Trend reports via the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry. The discussion took place during the meeting between the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, Maksat Mamytkanov, and the First Deputy Minister of the Economy of Azerbaijan, Elnur Aliyev. The sides also discussed the possible increase in the volume of cargo transportation related to the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad. Moreover, the meeting addressed issues of trade and economic cooperation, including the prospects of oil supplies from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan and the export of Kyrgyz agricultural products such as mutton and beans. The functioning of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund, the authorized capital of which was increased to $100 million, was also at the center of discussion. Source: Trend News Agency
