Azerbaijan names high-risk areas in liberated territories

BAKU: The estimated area of hazardous zones in the territories liberated from occupation is approximately 1.1 million hectares, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Bahruz Mammadov said at today's session of the Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Trend reports. "No area in the liberated areas is free from mines. Clearance operations have been completed over 166,000 hectares, representing 14.2 percent of the total area. Demining efforts have been underway for four years and will continue," Mammadov said. Source: Trend News Agency
