Azerbaijan Relocates 20 Families to Newly Reconstructed Hasanriz Village

Aghdara: Today, families resettling in Hasanriz village of Aghdara received the keys to their new homes, APA's Karabakh bureau reports. At this stage, 20 families, comprising 68 individuals, were relocated to the newly reconstructed village.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the resettled families had previously lived in temporary accommodations across the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings. This relocation marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to resettle former internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the region.

The relocation initiative is part of a broader effort to restore and repopulate areas within Karabakh and East Zangezur. These regions currently host over 40,000 people, including former IDPs, individuals involved in reconstruction projects, and employees of local government branches. The area is also seeing the reopening of healthcare, education, cultural, tourism, industrial, and energy facilities.

The move to Hasanriz village represents a new chapter for the 20 families who have long awaited permanent homes. The initiative underscores Azerbaijan's commitment to addressing the needs of those displaced and facilitating their return to rebuilt communities.
