Over the last 3 years, about 12 billion manats are scheduled to be spent on the restoration of liberated areas, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said during the discussion of the budget envelope "On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024" at the meeting of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The minister noted that initially 7.4 billion manats were scheduled in this regard. "Later, it was planned to channel the extra income in this direction, and the savings in some state institutions were also channeled in this direction. Thanks to them, these funds increased from 7.4 billion manats to 12 billion manats. Therefore, if any additional revenue is generated in the state budget, and if there is no budget conflict, it will be channeled to restoration of the liberated areas."
