Azerbaijan reveals investment volumes for Karabakh’s industrial parks

BAKU: Over 118 million manat ($69.4 million) have already been invested in the Aghdam Industrial Park and the Araz Valley Economic Zone, creating approximately 500 permanent jobs, Spokesman of Azerbaijan's Economic Zones Development Agency Elchin Kazimov told reporters, Trend reports. "The Agdam Industrial Park ranks second in the number of residents, following the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. To date, more than 60 percent of the territory of Aghdam Park has been allocated to entrepreneurs. A total of 41 business entities have received resident status, while five others hold non-resident status in these two zones. The total investment expected from these 46 enterprises will exceed 390 million manat, with more than 4,000 permanent jobs anticipated. Over 118 million manat have already been invested in the Aghdam and Araz Valley Economic Zone industrial parks, resulting in around 500 permanent jobs. Specifically, nine enterprises have begun operations in the Aghdam Park, and one enterprise is operating in the Araz Valley Economic Zone," he said. He added that these companies produce a wide range of products, including electrical distribution equipment, concrete substations, roofing and facade materials, ventilation systems, and metal products, as well as providing maintenance for agricultural machinery and trucks.
