Baku: Azerbaijan's revenues from cargo transportation via main gas pipelines increased by 5.7% from January to September this year, reaching AZN 1,999,005 thousand. This marks a notable rise compared to the same period last year, the State Statistical Committee reported to APA-Economics. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the revenue for the corresponding period last year stood at AZN 1,891,727.3 thousand. Additionally, Azerbaijan transported 29,571.2 million cubic meters of gas through its main pipelines, seeing a 0.5% increase from the previous year. The Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline accounted for 56.8% of this gas transportation, moving 16,802.8 million cubic meters, reflecting a 2.34% rise. It is noteworthy that last year, Azerbaijan's gas pipeline revenue reached AZN 2,516,082.5 thousand, an 8.1% increase on an annual basis. A total of 39,283.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported, marking a 0.1% rise compared to the previous year. The Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline played a si gnificant role, transporting 21,800.1 million cubic meters of gas, a 4.8% increase from 2022.
