Baku: Azerbaijan's export volume to Greece surged by over 70% during the initial months of 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Greece from January to April 2025 increased by 65% compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching a total of 313 million 891.5 thousand US dollars. This remarkable growth highlights the strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
During the reported period, exports from Azerbaijan to Greece saw a substantial rise of 72.3%, totaling 294 million 59.6 thousand US dollars. In contrast, imports from Greece to Azerbaijan experienced a modest increase of 1.4%, amounting to 19 million 831 thousand US dollars. The primary exports from Azerbaijan to Greece were natural gas and crude oil, underscoring the energy sector's role in bilateral trade.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Greece during this period represented 1.86% of Azerbaijan's total trade turnover, reflecting the importance of this economic relationship in the nation's overall trade strategy.
