BAKU: Weapons and ammunition have been found in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation, Trend reports, referring to the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry. Meanwhile, it was noted that officers of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry continue to take measures to ensure the security of the territories liberated from occupation. 'The process of detection and neutralization of the remnants of war and sources of danger continues uninterruptedly. Work on clearing the region of ammunition and explosives is one of the main directions of activity of the Interior Ministry officers involved in the service. Following the activities carried out from August 10 through August 16, 11 automatic rifles, one machine gun, 4 pistols, 6 rifles, 11 grenades, one grenade launcher, 3 igniters, 4 bayonet knives, 200 ammunition magazines, 9,786 cartridges of different caliber and other ammunition were found and seized by police officers in the territory of Khankendi city. Furthermore, 1 automatic weapon was found and seiz ed on the territory of Shusha city, and 18 shells were seized from the territory of Khojaly district," the report noted. Source: Trend News Agency
