Azerbaijan Unveils Progress on Highway Projects in Liberated Territories

Baku: Azerbaijan has disclosed the extent of its road construction endeavors in the liberated territories, with 44 highway projects currently underway in the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions. This initiative falls under the "First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan," as well as directives from the head of state.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the development includes the construction of 45 tunnels totaling 70.8 km in length, 447 bridges spanning 9581.6 meters, and 16 viaducts covering 3871 meters. These infrastructures are part of the extensive highway projects being built in the liberated areas.

The progress report indicates that 28 tunnels, with a combined length of 59.6 km, 392 bridges extending 8339.1 meters, and 9 viaducts measuring 1695 meters, have been completed thus far. This ongoing construction is a significant component of the nation's efforts to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the region.
