Rats involved in demining operations in Azerbaijan are already working in the territories, Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told journalists, APA reports.
He said that rats are currently involved in minefields in Azerbaijan's Agdam district:
'If we compare rats with minesweeping dogs, they have advantages, as well as, they have weaknesses compared to the dogs. Their working time is less than that of dogs. Currently, the activity of rats is effective.'
