Minsk: The official visit of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, to the Republic of Belarus continues, Ministry of Defense told APA. As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Victory Monument at Victory Square in Minsk and laid a wreath at the monument.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, an official welcoming ceremony for the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus. The defense ministers passed in front of the honor guard, and the national anthems of both countries were played. A meeting was subsequently held between Colonel-General Z. Hasanov and Lieutenant-General Viktor Khren, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting, regional security issues, prospects for the development of military cooperation, and other topics of mutual interest were discussed. The Azerbaijani delegation also visited the General Staff Faculty of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, where a briefing was provided on the military education system, personnel training, structure, and duties.

During the official visit, detailed information was given to the Azerbaijani Minister of Defense at the Central Command Post (CCP) of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces about the main directions of the CCP's activities.
