Baku: Azerbaijani and Georgian Foreign Ministers have engaged in discussions focusing on security issues in the South Caucasus region. Today, the relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in international organizations and their mutual support were also discussed with my esteemed colleague, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister noted that security issues in the South Caucasus were also a subject of discussion. Azerbaijan and Georgia have consistently approached international law with sensitivity, upholding each other's territorial integrity. However, the minister expressed concerns regarding Armenia's stance in the region. Azerbaijan recently restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty following the 44-day Patriotic War and subsequent anti-terror operations. Despite historical challenges, including territorial occupation, displacement, and cultural vandalism, Azerbaijan has extended an offer to Armenia to work on a peace treaty aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
