Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with Lithuania's Deputy Foreign Minister Julius Pranevicius to discuss bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international issues.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting highlighted the significant potential for expanding cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, energy security, and humanitarian fields. Both parties underscored the importance of a political consultation mechanism to address emerging issues and stressed the need to enhance partnerships within multilateral platforms.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on various issues of mutual interest. On the same day, political consultations took place between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Lithuania. The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the Lithuanian side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Julius Pranevicius.
