Azerbaijani and Slovenian Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Relations and Cooperation Opportunities

Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, during her official visit to Azerbaijan. The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral relations, political dialogue, and exploring cooperation in various fields.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting highlighted the longstanding friendship and mutual respect between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, and the upcoming 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026. Both ministers emphasized the importance of political dialogue, high-level visits, and inter-parliamentary relations in fostering further cooperation.

The discussions also touched upon economic and humanitarian exchanges, as well as collaboration on international platforms. The ministers explored opportunities in energy, digital innovation, environmental sustainability, education, and tourism, while also addressing regional security and connectivity.

Following the meetings, a press conference was held where both ministers answered questions from media representatives. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared updates on the meetings through social media, confirming the focus on deepening political cooperation, boosting trade and investment, and enhancing mutual support in multilateral platforms.
