Baku: An Azerbaijani citizen, Hasanov Emin Nazim, has been extradited from Moldova to Azerbaijan following a request from the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This decision was made by the competent authorities of Moldova in line with the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters, established on January 22, 1993.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hasanov Emin Nazim faced charges under Article 177.2.3 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to theft involving entry into a residential area. The criminal case is currently pending before the Absheron District Court. Hasanov had been declared an international wanted person after absconding from the court proceedings.
Emin Hasanov was apprehended within Moldova's territory and subsequently transported back to Azerbaijan. The transfer was carried out by a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
