Azerbaijani Customs raised budget payments by 19 per cent

In July 2023, the State Customs Committee transferred AZN 513.2 million to the budget. This was reported by the Committee. According to the report, this is up by 6.8% from the same period of 2022. Over the past year, customs duty revenues rose by 27.4% to AZN140.4 million, value added tax (VAT) revenues rose by 4.1% to AZN363 million, excise tax revenues rose by 58% to AZN24.5 million, and road tax revenues fell by 45.2% to AZN3.4 million. Note that in January-July this year, budget revenues from the SCC totalled AZN 3,606.6 million. This is up by 19.4 per cent from the same period of the last year. Over the past year, customs duty revenues rose 21.5 per cent to AZN909.1 million, VAT revenues rose 18.5 per cent to AZN2,549.1 million, excise tax revenues rose 42.7 per cent to AZN121.8 million, and road tax revenues fell 24.2 per cent to AZN26.6 million
