Azerbaijani Minister Highlights International Interest in Green Energy Project

Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has announced that several countries are expressing interest in a project aimed at delivering green energy from the Caspian Basin to Europe via Georgia. This initiative, which has been in the works since the end of 2022, is still in its initial calculation stage. The announcement was made during a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Bayramov emphasized the collaborative efforts between Azerbaijan and Georgia in forming new green energy corridors. The minister noted that beyond the energy project, the two nations are also working on establishing fiber optic lines. Various projects are being executed under both trilateral and quadrilateral formats to bolster these initiatives and other global projects. He highlighted the recent Azerbaijan-Georgia-Trkiye trilateral meeting in Baku, during which the Baku Declaration was adopted. Additionally, he mentioned that a comprehensive discussion on several new projects is scheduled for the upcoming meeting of the 10th Intergovernmental Joint Commission.
