BAKU: The autumn session of the Azerbaijani parliament of the VII convocation has begun its work, Trend reports. The first meeting of the session will feature awarding certificates by the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan to the newly elected MPs. Besides, the meeting will form the composition of the parliament’s committees. To note, the snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1. A total of 112,749 local observers were registered to monitor the election. More than 65,000 of them were representatives of political parties. The number of registered international observers was 598 people, representing 51 organizations in 69 countries. Out of 990 registered candidates in the parliamentary election, 305 were representatives of 25 political parties. Although 371 candidates are members of political parties, they were not nominated by the parties to which they belong. In total, 676 candidates had political party affiliation.
