Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to Massoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, marking the national holiday of the Islamic Republic of Iran, known as the Victory Day of the Islamic Revolution.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev extended heartfelt congratulations to President Pezeshkian and the people of Iran. He emphasized the importance of the comprehensive development of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, highlighting the shared historical, religious, and cultural values that bind the two nations.

Aliyev noted the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in various sectors such as economic, trade, transport, and energy. He expressed optimism about expanding these interactions and enriching them with new content. The Azerbaijani leader voiced his belief that the relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran would continue to grow, based on principles of friendship, brotherhood, and good-neighborliness, contributing to the prosperity of both nations and regional stability and security.
