Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan into the active military service and the transfer of servicemen from active military duty to reserve units during April 1-30, 2024. Under the order, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 2006 who have reached the age of 18 on the day of conscription, as well as those born between 1989 and 2005 and are under the age of 35, and citizens who do not possess deferral rights from service in the republic’s armed forces and other military formations, are subject to conscription into active military service from April 1-30, 2024.
