BAKU: Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission has officially presented deputy credentials to newly elected members of the 7th convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Trend reports. The credentials were first handed to the Speaker of Parliament Sahiba Gafarova. Following her, the credentials were also presented to the first deputy chairperson of the parliament Ali Ahmedov, along with other MPs. Subsequently, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov, presented the parliamentary certificates to the committee chairs of the Azerbaijani Parliament and all other parliament members. 13:37 Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission has officially presented deputy credentials to newly elected members of the 7th convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Trend reports. Th e snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1. A total of 112,749 local observers were registered to monitor the election. More than 65,000 of them were representatives of political parties. The number of registered international observers was 598 people, representing 51 organizations in 69 countries. Out of 990 registered candidates in the parliamentary election, 305 are representatives of 25 political parties. Although 371 candidates are members of political parties, they were not nominated by the parties to which they belong. In total, 676 candidates have political party affiliation.
