Brussels: First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, attended the NATO Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence Session in Brussels. APA reports citing the Ministry of Defence that during this session, Colonel General Valiyev addressed the Chiefs of Defence from NATO Allied and partner countries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colonel General Valiyev discussed the future of Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation, including Azerbaijan's involvement in the Resolute Support Mission and other operations. He also shared insights into the experiences of the Azerbaijan Army in various NATO exercises and events. Colonel General Valiyev emphasized Azerbaijan's ongoing contribution to peace and security in the Euro-Atlantic area and beyond. He conveyed Azerbaijan's intention to enhance its role in international peace and security, particularly as a nation that has fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In addition to his participation in the session, the Chief of the General Staff is scheduled to engage in meetings with some of his counterparts attending the event.
