Istanbul: Azerbaijan's Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, engaged with a Chinese delegation during the 'Global Sustainable Development Congress' taking place in Istanbul, Trkiye. The event featured a national pavilion from China, showcasing around 20 prominent higher education institutions.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation received comprehensive insights into the operations of these Chinese institutions. A subsequent business meeting was conducted with leaders from five of these higher education bodies. Discussions focused on the future collaboration between Azerbaijani and Chinese institutions, with particular attention to cooperation in technical sciences, engineering, research, and development. The dialogue also highlighted prospects for student and teacher exchanges, the development of joint programs, and strategies to enhance the global competitiveness of these educational institutions.
Previously, Minister Amrullayev visited Chengdu, China, where he met with Yin Hejun, the Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. The meeting centered on advancing bilateral relations in science, culminating in the signing of letters of intent aimed at fostering collaboration in science, technology, and artificial intelligence.
