Baku: The Climate Diplomacy Department has been established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, announced Yachin Rafiyev, Deputy Foreign Minister. He addressed the conference themed 'Agriculture mobilizing countries for environment,' which was part of the 30th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition 'InterFood Azerbaijan' and the 18th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition 'Caspian Agro.'
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rafiyev emphasized that the new department will ensure Azerbaijan's participation as a permanent player in international climate action negotiations. The department aims to foster new political positions within the country's economy and approach to climate issues. Rafiyev stated the primary goal is to transition from ambition to implementation, building on the outcomes achieved in climate negotiations so far.
