Baku: Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover saw a significant increase of 24.3% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching USD 12 billion 48.87 million.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this development was reported by the State Customs Committee, highlighting notable changes in the country's trade dynamics.
Despite the overall increase in trade turnover, Azerbaijan experienced a decline in exports by 6.7%, totaling USD 6 billion 385.9 million. In contrast, imports surged by 52.6%, amounting to USD 5 billion 662.9 million during the same period.
The foreign trade turnover resulted in a positive balance of USD 722.9 million, although this figure is 3.1 times lower than the corresponding period last year.
