Azerbaijan’s GDP Sees Marginal Growth in Early 2025

Baku: Azerbaijan's economy experienced a 1% growth in its GDP during the first four months of 2025, reaching a total of 39.3 billion manat. This marks a 0.9% increase compared to the same timeframe last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported a decline in the oil and gas sector by 3.5%, whereas the non-oil and gas sector demonstrated a growth of 3.3%. The GDP's composition reveals that 37.3% came from industry, followed by 9.9% from trade and vehicle repairs, 7.0% from transport and warehousing, and 5.9% from construction. Additionally, agriculture, forestry, and fishing contributed 3.3%, tourism and public catering 2.8%, and the information and communication sectors 1.8%. Other sectors collectively accounted for 21.7%, with net taxes on products and imports making up 10.3% of the GDP.

The GDP per capita during this period was reported to be 3841.8 manat.
