Since yesterday, the forces of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations have been involved in implementing appropriate safety measures in areas flooded due to heavy rains in Baku and the Absheron district, the Ministry stated, APA reports. According to the Ministry, the State Fire Protection Service, Special Risky Rescue Service, Civil Defense Troops, State Service for Control over Small Sized Vessels and Water Rescue, and the forces of the Baku Regional Center are continuously working to pump and remove water from flooded areas, evacuate citizens in need of assistance, and carry out other necessary safety measures. As part of the operations, a total of 31 citizens have been evacuated to safe areas. Operations are ongoing at several locations. Source: Azeri-Press news agency
