Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health Comments on Viral Infection Spread Among Children

Baku: Every year, this year there are reports of seasonal viral infections among children due to the season. These are viruses and bacteria that cause respiratory infections, Sabina Jafarova, a pediatrician at the Scientific Research Institute of Pediatrics told APA. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the main symptoms include high fever lasting up to 7 days, sore throat, and cough. Since viral infections are transmitted through air droplets, it is important first to use medical masks and follow hygiene rules. Children should be kept away from crowded places. If a sick child is at home, contact with other people should be minimized. Natural methods should be recommended to lower fever. It is important to consume plenty of fluids, high-calorie foods, and foods rich in vitamins, as well as eating fruits and vegetables.
