Baku: Azerbaijan's non-oil sector exports increased by 18% in the first four months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching a total of 1.1 billion USD.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication reported a significant rise in exports of various products, highlighting the growth in the country's non-oil economy.
During the January-April 2025 period, exports of food products rose by 12.1%, totaling 300.1 million USD. The report also noted that chemical industry products saw an increase of 35 million USD, or 42.5%, while sugar exports rose by 1.9 million USD, or 25.8%. Exports of ferrous metals and related products increased by 4.1 million USD, or 16.7%, and fruits and vegetables saw a rise of 26.8 million USD, or 14.8%. Additionally, aluminum and its products increased by 6.1 million USD, or 9.8%, and cotton yarn exports grew by 360.9 thousand USD, or 5.3%, compared to the same period last year.
In the agricultural sector, exports increased by 14%, reaching 232.7 million USD, while agro-industrial products rose by 7.9%, amounting to 90.8 million USD. Overall, the combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products grew by 12.2%, totaling 323.57 million USD, marking a robust performance in Azerbaijan's non-oil export activities during the early months of 2025.
