Baku: Azerbaijan exported more than 6 million tons of oil to 13 countries in the first quarter of this year, with Italy being the largest importer.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijan exported 3,055,572.87 tons of oil to Italy, valued at USD 1,702,838.31 thousand, making Italy the top destination for the country's oil exports.

The Czech Republic stands as the second-largest importer of Azerbaijani oil. During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 558,693.27 tons of oil to the Czech Republic, amounting to USD 304,667.44 thousand.

Germany ranks third in the list of importers of Azerbaijani oil. In the first three months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 500,001.1 tons of oil to Germany, worth USD 276,544.77 thousand.

The figures provided reflect the value of oil exported as officially processed by customs authorities during this period. Overall, Azerbaijan exported a total of 6,011,561.25 tons of oil, valued at 3,336,653.5 thousand US dollars, to 13 countries.
