Baku’s “Russian House” Takes Steps to Cease Operations

Baku: The "Russian House" in Baku is taking steps to cease its operations, the "Russian House" issued a statement regarding this matter, APA reports. The statement says that, in connection with the demand of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the representation of "Rossotrudnichestvo" - the "Russian House" in Baku - is taking steps to cease its operations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, today, the part of the center's name written in Russian was removed from the building where the "Russian House" in Baku is located.

As a reminder, Azerbaijan has sent a note to Russia regarding the termination of the "Russian House's" activities. After informing the Russian side that the Russian Information and Cultural Center - the "Russian House," which operates as the representation of "Rossotrudnichestvo" in Azerbaijan, has no legal registration as an entity and has seriously violated Azerbaijani legislation, a note was sent to Russia on February 3, 2025, regarding the termination of the "Russian House's" activities.
