Berdimuhamedov discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister for agro-industrial complex preparations for a visit to Uzbekistan

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on agriculture, the TDH state news agency reported .

Deputy Prime Minister Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev, who is in charge of the agro- industrial complex, reported on the progress of seasonal work, as well as on preparations for the meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.

“At the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, agreements that are beneficial for both parties will be reached in a number of areas,” notes TDH.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister, together with his Uzbek counterpart, to discuss issues and agreements that will form the agenda and to agree on a meeting next week.

TDH notes that during the forthcoming soon visit of the governmental delegation headed by the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan will be signed the relevant documents on the agreements reached.

Also at the meeting, the heads of the velayats reported on preparations for the start of sowing wheat and the progress of construction of facilities in honor of the Independence Day and preparations for the Khalk Maslakhaty.

The head of state instructed to start picking cotton in an organized manner, provide agrotechnical care for autumn potatoes, fruits and vegetables, increase the pace of construction of facilities and pay attention to the preparation of delegates who will take part in the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.

Recall that after the meeting in Avaza of the heads of Central Asian countries on August 6, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his letter invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan on an official visit at any convenient time.

In April 2018, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a state visit to Uzbekistan, and in November 2019, on a working visit and to participate in the second Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States.
