On March 4, the Acting President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "in order to successfully implement investment projects" signed the Decree and instructed the vice-premiers and hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat to control the deadlines for completion of construction, as well as to ensure the high quality of construction projects that are planned to be commissioned in 2022 . This was reported by the state news agency TDH .
The Ministry of Construction and Architecture should strengthen control over the quality of construction of facilities and "set the dates for their commissioning by months and ensure that these dates are included in the monthly schedules for events and the opening of social and cultural facilities."
The Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with the regional and Ashgabat khyakimliks, should "compile a monthly report on the progress of the construction of the above facilities and structures in accordance with the schedule." The Deputy Prime Minister will present these reports.
On the same day, a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan was held, during which Berdimuhamedov ordered Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov , who is in charge of construction, industry and energy, to increase the volume of investments attracted to the construction and industrial sectors, as well as to put into operation various facilities provided for in the investment program for this year. Among such facilities are the construction of power transmission lines that will loop the country's energy system, as well as power lines Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan.
