Berdimuhamedov Sr. approved the design of the monument to his horse Akhan

On May 28, the chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh (upper house of parliament) of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , arrived to inspect the construction site of the new capital of Akhal velayat, the state information agency TDH reports .

The publication notes that in accordance with the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov , he makes working trips around the country, “studies on the ground issues related to the socio-economic development of the regions, improving the social level of the population and determines the directions for their successful solution.”

The chairman of the State Committee for the construction of the center of Akhal velayat Deryageldi Orazov and the hyakim of the city Shamuhammet Durdiliyev reported on the progress of construction .

First of all, the ex-president got acquainted with the master plan of the underground passages and instructed to build them from reliable materials.

Then the erection of a monument to the horse Akhan was discussed (the president signed a decree on the construction of a monument to his father's favorite horse on May 22). The height of the sculpture will be 9 meters, and the pedestal - 22 meters, so the total height of the monument will be 31 meters. Berdimuhamedov Sr. noted that the avenue on which he will be erected "it is advisable to name the name of this famous horse . " Officials supported the proposal.

Summing up the results of the meeting on the topic of building a new city, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed to hold them weekly .

On April 28, the construction of the capital Akhal was inspected by Serdar Berdimuhamedov. He said that the second stage of the construction of the city is starting, which provides for its improvement and resettlement of residents. Concerning the name of the capital, Berdimuhamedov Jr. suggested bringing the issue up for public discussion. On May 6, Radio Azatlyk, citing its own sources , reported that they plan to call the new city Arkadag.
