On the first working day of this year, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Mary velayat. The state news agency TDH reports .

At the Mary airport, the president was met not only by officials, but also by rain.

Reseeding by helicopter Berdymukhamedov arrived at the Galkynys gas field. Here he was awaited by the director of the Natural Gas Research Institute of the Türkmengaz State Concern, the Chairman of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation, the Chairman of the Türkmengaz State Concern and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh.Abdrakhmanov, in charge of the fuel and energy complex.

The President was presented with drawings and diagrams with detailed information on the identified promising deposits in this region, as well as on the methods of their development. The report notes that the most advanced technologies are involved in solving problems related to the effective use of the richest hydrocarbon resources, the implementation of large-scale projects in this area without harm to the environment.

Meanwhile, Blumberg reported that methane emissions in Turkmenistan create serious problems for the world and our country is second only to the United States and Russia in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.

Further, according to TDH, the President got acquainted with the state of pastures on the territory of Mary velayat and visited the local shepherd camp of Dovran Yazlyev from Iolotan etrap. The shepherd "with great pride emphasized that the leader of the nation brought abundance to these spaces - the last heavy rain will have a beneficial effect on the growth of field plants, which is especially important for the safe wintering of small ruminants."
