On October 21, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the construction of the new capital of the Akhal velayat, the state information agency TDH reported .
"Currently, the pace of work on the construction of a new administrative center is increasing," the newspaper emphasizes.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov regularly orders to speed up the construction of a new city. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 8, he again instructed Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov , who is in charge of the construction, industrial and energy complex, "to accelerate the construction of residential buildings, settlements, especially the administrative center of the Akhal velayat." The president announced his intention to build a new city in October 2018. The first stage of construction was planned to be implemented in 2019-2021, and the second - in 2020-2022.
"The area allocated for the construction of the new administrative center of the Akhal velayat has been thoroughly investigated by scientists, including its ecological state, seismicity and other indicators," notes TDH.
The head of state was shown the projects planned for construction in the city of a children's health and rehabilitation center, the History and Local Lore Museum of the Akhal velayat, "as a basis for which the architects took the image of the nearby monument to Paryzdepe ( an ancient settlement, - ed. )", The building of the State Circus and others new buildings.
Among other things, Berdymukhamedov approved the designs of roofing sheets, bus stops, lanterns, interior upholstery of the walls of the premises, spectator seats, carpet and shades of glass on the windows.
The head of state instructed "not to forget about environmental issues, since the capital of Akhal is being built in a picturesque place - in the foothills of the Kopetdag, the natural beauty of which must be preserved."
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also said that "the urban space here will be formed on the basis of digital technologies and intelligent systems - it will be a smart city - a" smart "city, most convenient for people's lives."
In this regard, the leaders were instructed to work out proposals for the use of the latest technologies, know-how, digital systems and best practices in the construction of the velayat center.
The president examined the construction site of the new city in March. Then TDH wrote that more than 15 thousand specialists work at construction sites. The head of state said that "here, as elsewhere, attention should be paid to the implementation of the concept of a" smart "city, to establish the movement of environmentally friendly transport, use solar panels and wind generators, and modernize lighting networks."
Touching upon the topic of maintaining cleanliness in the city, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the idea of installing, within the framework of the concept of a “smart” city, “smart” waste bins, “capable, thanks to their technical equipment, to inform the appropriate service about their filling and be controlled using digital technologies”.
