President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov opened the complex of the State Tribune, built on Kopetdag Avenue, the State Information Agency TDH reported .
The area of the tribune is 20 thousand 450 square meters, it includes the tribune of the president and the tribune for guests with 2 thousand seats.
On the square in front of the tribune, military parades and reviews of the achievements of economic sectors will be held. The largest in Central Asia 120-meter LED-screen and eight 30-meter high masts are also installed there . A helipad and parking lots have also been built.
According to the TDH, "the building has a spacious, marble-clad ceremonial hall, halls for receiving guests and special events, a distinctive feature of the design of which is a pronounced national flavor."
However, the state television showed only the outer part of the tribune.
After inspecting the building, the President watched a concert and a drone show from the balcony of the second floor , lined up in the sky in the shape of the country's flag.
The grandstand building was built by the French company Bouygues Bâtiment. It was supposed to open in 2020, ahead of the 25th anniversary of neutrality. Its cost is $ 109.3 million.
The construction of the road and the square in front of the stand worth 64.66 million manat ($ 18.5 million at the state rate or $ 2.15 million at the current rate of the "black market") was carried out by the Russian company Vozrozhdenie.
Previously, parades were held on Independence Square in the center of Ashgabat.
