At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on December 17, Deputy Prime Minister for Trade Chary Gylydzhov reported on the implementation of the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in preparation for the New Year, the state information agency TDH reported .
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations Serdar Berdimuhamedov was instructed to pay a working visit to the velayats in the near future and get acquainted with the implementation of the National Rural Program, State Programs to increase the production of import-substituting goods and increase the volume of export-oriented products.
Addressing the deputy prime ministers, the head of state also ordered to visit shops and markets on the eve of the New Year, to get acquainted with the prices of goods.
In addition, it was ordered to study what unresolved issues are in rural areas and prepare proposals for their solution. A report on the implementation of this assignment must be presented at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
On the eve of the holidays, the president always gives instructions to ensure production abundance in the country’s markets. After that, products appear in the bazaars of Ashgabat (this year on the Day of Neutrality it was meat and confectionery ) at reduced prices. However, most often these products are of low quality and are not enough for everyone. After the holidays, products disappear or prices rise to the same level.
As reported the day before, cities and villages in the regions are supplied with food at state prices much worse than the capital.
