Berdymukhammedov dismisses Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Chamber of Commerce “for failure to use the organization’s resources”

On 10 April the state information agency TDH reported that at the session of Turkmenistan's Chamber of Commerce Bababgylych Gylydzov was relieved of the post as a Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and the Chairman of the Board of Directors owing to severe criticism by the President addressed to the Chairperson of the Chamber and failure to use the available resources and unleash the potential of the organization he is in charge of.

Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov was elected Chairperson of Turkmenistan's Chamber of Commerce and the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Let us recall that at the Cabinet session held on 6 April President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov expressed extreme discontent with poor performance of the Chamber of Commerce.

Turkmenistan's Chamber of Commerce was charged with the task of creating favourable conditions for entrepreneurship, rendering practical support to organizations and self-employed entrepreneurs, including in the global markets. However, the results of the activities undertaken in these areas are not visible, � the President said.
