Berdymukhammedov inspects Gurtlynskoye Lake where a recreational zone will be built

On President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov familiarized himself with project designs of the prospective recreational zone in Gurtlynskoye Lake, located in the northern part of Ashgabat.

The state information agency TDH reported that Deputy Prime Ministers, executives of the law enforcement agencies, Turkmenistan’s Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the mayor of Ashgabat greeted the President by the lake.

According to the President, major family entertainment centres and water rides should be built here.

Deputy Prime Minister overseeing the construction and industrial complex Shamukhammet Durdylyev presented designs of the facilities and their locations. These include summer cafes, a grocery store, sports and playgrounds, terraces and gazebos as well as accommodation for staff, emergency medical service, a parking space for ambulance vehicles and watch towers.

The news outlet reports that Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov made a few comments and proposed some amendments in the project designs. Then he charged the officials with the task of “ensuring top quality services for residents”, building parking lots and providing public transit and taxi service.

The President subsequently inspected the lake on a jet ski. On the opposite side of the lake experts of the Ministry of Industry and Construction again presented him the project designs, including sports grounds, shops and consumer services facilities.

Let us recall that on 11 May, 2020 Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov inspected the construction-in-progress in Ashgabat and its suburbs from a helicopter.  The President instructed that Gurtlynskoye Lake located in the north of the capital be turned into “a picturesque nature spot with relevant recreational facilities”.
