Bishkek hosts event “Season of foreign exhibitions of outstanding films and TV dramas of Beijing”

Bishkek, Aug. 3, 2023 / Kabar /. Today, August 3, Bishkek is hosting the event 'Season of foreign exhibitions of outstanding films and TV dramas in Beijing'. Speaking at the event Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Chyngyz Esengul uulu noted that the arrival of Chinese film and TV series production companies in the Kyrgyz Republic is one of the key achievements of the state visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to China this year. 'Based on the agreements that were signed between the two states, implementation has begun. We know China's rich experience in the field of film production, and this will give some impetus to the development of bilateral exchange of experience between our countries,' the deputy minister said. He further added that today's event can be considered the beginning of a large-scale project in the cultural sphere. According to Azamat Shabdanaliev, executive director of Holly joy, today's event was organized as part of the One Belt, One Road initiative. 'Now this project is implementing the humanitarian field and the first step is to show Chinese documentaries and feature films, video content, TV series in Kyrgyzstan. This is necessary in order for the locals to get acquainted with the traditions of the Chinese people. Previously, we signed an agreement with two Chinese media companies, with whom we will work on a long-term basis and exchange film materials, show their films here, and our films in China,' said the executive director. According to the media director of Dolon TV, Indira Kasymbayeva, such events have already been held in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and this year in Kyrgyzstan, and tomorrow in Tajikistan. 'One Belt, One Road is the main initiative not only of China, but also of other countries for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations in the field of culture. We shot the film 'One Belt, One Road' about the economic exchange between Kyrgyzstan and China as a continuation of the Silk Road,' Kasymbayeva said.
