Bomb reports in schools: Akylbek Japarov holds meeting

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov held a meeting on cases of false reports about bombs planted in schools. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

«The information of relevant state bodies was heard. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ulan Usekov said in his report that the ministry has developed a directive-instruction, which outlines the algorithm for responding to such anonymous messages by state bodies,» the press service said.

It is noted that technical specialists from law enforcement agencies are checking schemes, algorithms for disseminating and responding to these messages.

Students of 28 educational institutions were evacuated in the capital on April 27. There were two reports of alleged explosive devices planted in schools, colleges, universities and shopping malls last week.

This is not the first hoax callers’ attack. Similar messages were received by educational institutions and shopping centers of the capital on March 22, January 20 and April 18. The organizers have not yet been found. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Aibek Shamenov said that the accounts from which messages were sent are registered on the territory of Ukraine and Russia.
